Get to know Rock Bridge Memorial State Park better by participating in hikes that will guide you to hidden treasures of the park, share information about history and nature and provide a short service project opportunity (optional) of about 20 minutes. By participating in these monthly hikes (first Saturday of each month), that will visit different parts of the park, getting to know the park better and caring for it, you can help celebrate the park's 50th anniversary!
February's hike will be on Devil's Icebox Trail and vicinity (1 mile total) where geologic features, such as the rock bridge, can be more easily seen without the leaves of trees getting in the way. See foundation stones and learn about the mills, whiskey distillery, the "mansion" and town that existed here in the 1800s. The optional service project will involve using hand tools to cut the invasive "burning bush" that has escaped from yards.
