African American Inventors and Innovators Exhibit

1/10/2017 to 3/13/2017 | Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Heritage Center | Kansas City, MO

Visitors are invited to experience the African American Inventors and Innovators Exhibit at the Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Heritage Center in Kansas City. The collection, which will be on display at the center Jan. 10 through March 12, was assembled by The Institute of Black Invention and Technology.

The exhibit chronicles the contributions of African American women and men in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math. Come experience the genius of these inventors and innovators through more than 100 viewable inventions, reproductions and representative samples from early West African cultures through slavery in America and the present age of cellular communications.

Join us at Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Heritage Center for an opening reception on Jan. 19 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Carroll and Sandra Lamb from the Institute of Black Invention and Technology will be there to discuss the exhibit.
