Missouri Day

10/19/2016 | First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site | St. Charles, MO

Come celebrate all that is Missouri! In 1969, the 75th General Assembly designated the third Wednesday of October each year to be Missouri Day. Missouri Day is a time for schools to honor the state and for the people of the state to celebrate the achievements of all Missourians. Students and chaperones, as well as the general public, are welcome to come wander through the open house format of fun displays, demonstrations, guest speakers, live animals and hands-on interactive exhibits. Learn about how, why and when our Missouri state symbols were chosen. Students will see and learn about minerals and fossils, plants and animals, music and state government. Come join us for a couple hours during this unique, fun learning opportunity and pick up a little history lesson along the way. The event is free and open to the public. Please call 636-940-3322 for more information and to register your group.
