Friday

7 p.m. Nature Myth Busters - Campground Amphitheater
Can you tell the difference between fact and fiction about nature? Join Washington State Park interpretive staff for this interactive program about nature myths and learn which ones are busted!

Saturday

1 p.m. Petroglyph and Glade Tour - Petroglyph Site
This guided interpretive walk highlights two of Washington State Park's unique features. The walk begins with a tour of the ancient Native American rock carvings and will then venture out onto the glade where visitors will learn about life on this landscape. 

3 p.m. CCC Park History Stroll - Thunderbird Lodge
Join Washington State Park interpretive staff on a stroll through history! This walk will take place at the Thunderbird Lodge and surrounding area as visitors learn about the history of the park and the historic stonework of Civilian Conservation Corps Company 1743.

5 p.m. Nature Hour – Campground Amphitheater
At this edition of nature hour, Washington State Park interpretive staff will launch the start of this weekend’s scavenger hunt and sidewalk chalk drawing contests! The theme for this sidewalk chalk drawing contest is “My Favorite Things at Washington State Park.” Packets for the contest can be picked up from interpretive staff. Awards will be presented at the evening program on Sunday, Sept. 4.

7 p.m. Nature Superheroes - Campground Amphitheatre
Nature is full of amazing superheroes! Come to the heroes of nature program and learn about their amazing superpowers.

Sunday

3 p.m. Aquatic Critters – Big River Day-Use Area
Do you know about the critters in the river? Learn about the variety of life just below the surface. Washington State Park interpretive staff will showcase this informative and fun program about the aquatic critters in the Big River at the water access of the Big River Day-Use Area.

5 p.m. Children’s Story Hour – Campground Amphitheatre
Join Washington State Park interpretive staff for story hour! This hour will present tall tales and nature stories for kids of all ages. 

7 p.m. Parktionary! – Campground Amphitheatre
Washington State Park interpretive staff presents a new twist on a family game night classic with Parktionary! This game combines the format of a familiar game with the topic of the park. Following the program, awards will be presented for the winners of the scavenger hunt and the sidewalk chalk drawing contest.

Monday

9 a.m. Nature Hour – Campground Amphitheatre
Washington State Park has many critters that call this place home. Washington State Park interpretive staff will present fun knowledge about some of these creatures at this edition of nature hour.

All events last approximately one hour and are weather and conditions permitting and subject to change.
