Floating Fun on Kayaks

Harry S Truman State Park will conduct free kayak classes every Saturday in August. Come out and have fun learning how to use recreational kayaks. Park staff will be teaching the class.  Kayaks and all equipment are provided. Life jackets are required and are provided if you don’t have your own. Participants can be ages 13 and up, but ages13 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult guardian.   

The classes are free of charge and open to the public. There are seven positions in each class and when a class is full, it is closed. Cancelations and no shows will be filled first-come, first-serve on the weekend of the class. You can inquire about cancelations at the fee booth or main park office.
