The smell of dinner on the grill, the anticipation of s'mores around the campfire and the sound of laughing kids splashing in the water are all memories of that favorite camping trip in a Missouri State Park. Arrive at the special-use camping area to set up your tent (tent camping only) anytime on Friday, June 24. There will be an owl hike at 8:30 p.m. at the amphitheater. In addition, the activities listed below will take place over Saturday and Sunday:

Mark Twain Museum visit I want S’mores
Mark Twain Documentary Beginning Kayaking (age 10 and over)
Make a cane fishing pole Morning Hike
Beginning Archery Explorer Badge Ceremony
The cost is $2 per person, per day for camping in the special-use camping area. Preregistration is a must! Only 10 family spots are available. The event will be held in the special-use area in the Mark Twain State Park campgrounds. Bring your own camping supplies, water container and food. Missouri State Park Explorer Program patches will be awarded at the end of the weekend for those completing the program. Programs will end by noon Sunday.
