5/21/2016 | St. Joe State Park | Park Hills, MO
Somewhere in St. Joe State Park lies, buried, a hidden treasure in “Precious Stones.” Families are invited to meet at the Blankshire trailhead parking lot, near the main park entrance, where they will join together as a team. Using your own vehicle to drive a motor tour of the park, you will follow a string of clues with the help and guidance of the park interpreter.
While mostly a driving activity, some light walking and trail hiking will be involved, so wear good, sturdy shoes.
From Farmington: Take Pimville Road west from Bray to the Blankshire parking lot on the right.
From Park Hills: Take Highway 32 west to Pimville Road; go left and you will pass the park entrance to Blankkshire parking on right.
Event times: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
This event is being held in conjunction with the national Kids to Parks Day, which is sponsored by the National Park Trust. For more information and to see a list of all state parks and historic sites participating in this event, click here.
