Celebrate the birth of Missouri’s only born president, Harry S Truman. Missouri State Parks and the Barton County Chamber of Commerce will collaboratively hold this Truman Day event. The event will include period re-enactors representing Harry S Truman’s life from the 1880s throughout his presidential years. The event will feature more than 50 craft, goods and produce vendors, a baby show, a Harry and Bess toddler show, a 5k and 10k run, a tractor show, kids games, period performances including a Harry S Truman impersonator and wagon rides. Cake will be served to the public to celebrate Truman’s birthday. Click here to read the news release.
