Dutch Oven Cooking and Wild Edible Sampler

10/10/2015 | Cuivre River State Park | Troy, MO

One time-honored camping tradition that has gained popularity again is cooking in a Dutch oven. But how do you do it and what can you cook? Join park staff at Camp Cuivre group camp for a Dutch oven cooking demonstration. During the program, you will get tips and tricks for cooking with a Dutch oven, and you will get to sample some foods cooked during the event. While the Dutch oven food simmers, the park naturalist will have samples of foods made with wild plants found right in the park. The event will take place near the Camp Cuivre dining hall (inside if raining). Camp Cuivre is located in the park, just off of Lincoln Hills Drive.
