6/6/2015 | Sam A. Baker State Park | Patterson, MO
Sam A. Baker State Park possesses both natural and cultural resources, making it one of the favorites in the Missouri State Parks system. What better way to spend National Trails Day than hiking a 5-mile trek into the Mudlick Natural Area at Sam A. Baker State Park. Come along with a park naturalist and discover the beautiful natural areas hidden here; a journey past historic hiking shelters, through Mudlick Hollow, and along waterfalls and bluffs.
The trail is rugged and steep in most places, so wear sturdy hiking boots and bring plenty of snacks and water. For more information, call the park naturalist at 573-856-4514
Hike time: 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
This event is being held in conjunction with the American Hiking Society's National Trails Day. For a complete list of National Trails Day events in Missouri State Parks, click here.
