4/16/2015 | Sam A. Baker State Park | Patterson, MO
Take this opportunity to visit the park with your children and learn about the natural resources found in your own backyard. This particular program is for homeschool families only and will focus on the native wildflowers in southeast Missouri. Take a stroll down the popular Shut-Ins Trail with a naturalist and learn how to identify some common spring blooms. We will discuss native and nonnative plants, some edible and medicinal purposes, and what you can do to preserve our native landscape.
Meet at Shelter #1 behind the park store for registration between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Feel free to bring a lunch and enjoy the park on your own in the afternoon.
