4/18/2015 | Onondaga Cave State Park | Leasburg, MO
Onondaga Cave State Park, in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Transportation and the Missouri Department of Conservation, will host an April Trash Bash event as part of their ongoing No MOre Trash statewide litter campaign. In 2005, the park adopted a 3-mile stretch of Highway H just outside the park boundaries to assist these agencies cooperatively and keep unsightly litter from building up along the roadways. The public is invited to assist in this adventure! Meet at the visitor center for a short safety video and distribution of vests and trash bags. Glove supply is limited; please bring gloves with you. Wear sturdy boots or shoes and dress appropriately for changing weather conditions. If the weather cooperates, there are other areas of the park that volunteers could participate in litter clean up. Hot dogs and chips will be provided for lunch after the event compliments of the Onondaga Friends Association.
