Union Army Spring Drill

4/11/2015 | Battle of Pilot Knob State Historic Site | Pilot Knob, MO

During the Civil War, the spring was a time to start the campaigning. After a winter in quarters, the warmer weather meant time for practice prior to going into battle. The Turner Brigade, a reenacting group from St. Louis, is once again volunteering to demonstrate Union army infantry and artillery drills as well as civilian camp life. Demonstrations will be at various times throughout the day.
