Join a park naturalist on our popular Shut-Ins Trail to commemorate National Trails Day. You will venture through a lush bottomland forest past talus slopes, blooming wildflowers and streaming waterfalls. Learn what makes the Shut-ins Trail such an enjoyable trail to experience, than help keep Missouri’s parks beautiful by picking up trash on the return trip home. This trail is mostly flat and 3 miles round trip. If you choose to remain at the shut-ins swimming hole, remember to bring along swimwear.
