Bats of Devil's Icebox Cave and the World

Learn about the awesome abilities of the world’s only flying mammal and how different species of bats use Devil’s Icebox Cave through a photo-filled PowerPoint presentation. Find out what’s happening with a disease affecting bats called white nose syndrome.  See captive live bats up close. Kids can decorate a cardboard bat to take home. This program, to be held at the Columbia Public Library, will be presented by the park naturalist with Rock Bridge Memorial State Park and a bat researcher with the U.S. Forest Service. This program is recommended for ages 8 through adult and is free. No registration is required.
