Civil War Activity Day

This family-friendly event will occur in conjunction with the unveiling of new artifacts in the "Civil War Missouri: A House Dividing" exhibit in the Missouri State Museum History Hall. In the rotunda on the first floor of the Capitol building and on the south lawn of the Capitol grounds, activities will include historic reenactments and interpretive programs on Civil War artillery, Civil War era fashions and the life of Civil War soldiers. You will also be able to tour the new additions to the exhibit in the History Hall featuring Missouri's Civil War battle flags and other historic Civil War artifacts. On the south lawn of the Capitol grounds, there will be an interpretive program on Civil War artillery, "Ready, Aim, Fire," at 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., and Missouri Irish Brigade will perform a reenactment of an infantry drill at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
