Halloween Storytelling and Campsite Decorating Contest

10/29/2011 | Onondaga Cave State Park | Leasburg, MO

Campers at Onondaga Cave State Park have been decorating their campsites with Halloween decorations for years. This year, there will be a campsite decorating contest.  Traditionally, campers also organize a campground trick-or-treating event in the afternoon. In the evening, sit around the campfire, make s,mores, and listen to spooky stories. The first couple of stories will be less spooky for the little ones. Bring your own spooky story to tell if you want. During the evening storytelling event, there will be a costume contest for all ages. Winners of the campsite decorating contest will be announced at the storytelling. Some campsites are still available for the weekend of this event, but they will go fast, so make your reservation today.
