Calling all disgusting and vile creatures – Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park is hosting its annual Halloween Happenings event. Join us dressed as your favorite movie character or supernatural creature, or in some other extravagant costume.
This fun-filled night will feature costumes contests, a campsite decorating contest, trick-or-treating, and more! The event will be hosted at the Black River Center, located in the day-use area.
Event schedule:
- 5-6:30 p.m. – hayride, discovery tables, self-guided hike and pumpkin carving in the day-use area
- 6:30-8:30 p.m. – trick-or-treating in the campground
- 7:30 p.m. – contest judging and announcement of winners at the campground store
Regular camping fees apply, but the event itself is free. if there is inclement weather, some activities will be canceled while others will be moved inside. Please bring a flashlight for this exciting night.
