In honor of National Poetry Month, join park staff to listen to and write nature poetry. Let nature be your inspiration while you use a few tips and techniques to write your own poetry. All supplies will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own paper and writing utensil if you prefer.
Meet at the picnic area before the steep curve where you first see the lake. Turn right onto Big Loop Trail Road. There is a picnic area just before the tight curve where you first see the lake. We will meet there. There is parking here and at Red Bud Trail near the lake.
This event is free and open to the public, and there is no need to register. The program is weather permitting.
