Wild Edibles Walk

4/26/2025 | Sam A. Baker State Park | Patterson, MO

Edible plants surround us in nature, and many can serve as a tasty snack or side dish. Join a park naturalist to learn about some of these so-called "wild edibles" during a leisurely stroll on Shut-Ins Trail. As we walk, we will discuss some of the dietary and medicinal uses of plants and learn about wild edible identification and folklore. However, we will not pick or collect any plants, and participants will be expected to stay on the trail.

This event is free and open to the public, and there is no need to register. We will meet at the Mudlick Trail trailhead across from the park store.

For more information, call the park at 573-856-4514.

Walk time: 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
