Join us at Thousand Hills State Park for one or more of our monthly reptile programs. Learn why reptiles are important and which ones can be found at the park. You may have the chance to meet live animals at these events.
These programs are free and open to the public, and there is no need to register. The programs are scheduled to take place at the amphitheater in Campground 1, but you do not have to be a camper in order to attend. Events may be canceled or moved inside if there is inclement weather.
Program Dates and Times:
- Friday May 23, at 7 p.m. – World Turtle Day: Come shell-ebrate and learn about turtles with us. We'll cover topics such as why turtles are important and some of the adaptations they have.
- Saturday, June 14, at 10 a.m.
- Friday, July 11, at 7 p.m.
- Friday, Aug. 15, at 7 p.m.
- Saturday, Sept. 20, at 10 a.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 18, at 10 a.m.
