Historical Haunts at the Homestead

10/19/2024 | Nathan and Olive Boone Homestead State Historic Site | Ash Grove, MO

Come out to Nathan and Olive Boone Homestead State Historic Site on Saturday, Oct. 19, for our annual Historical Haunts at the Homestead event.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. with an hourlong storytelling program at the picnic shelter presented by Christine Peoples of Meet and Greet Ministries Inc. Christine will tell stories of heroes striving toward American freedoms under the cover of the night.

From 7-8 p.m., you can stroll the lantern-lit walkway to the historic cemeteries and the Boone home for more tales of the past. Take advantage of this rare opportunity to experience the homestead at night!

This event is open to the public and suitable for people of all ages. Admission is free, and there is no need to register. All activities are outdoors, so be sure to dress for the weather. Bringing lawn chairs and a flashlight is also encouraged.

For more information, contact the site at 417-751-3266.

Event time: 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
