Archaeology Day

Join us for a fun day of archaeology!

Stop by anytime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to check out a variety of interactive archaeological demonstrations and activities at Shelter #2 in the Big River Day-Use Area. View interesting archaeological displays and enjoy flint knapping and atlatl demonstrations.

Then, from 2-3 p.m., join park staff for a guided tour of the petroglyph site across from Shelter #1/CCC Ridge Shelter.

This event will be held in collaboration with the Three Rivers Chapter of the Missouri Archaeological Society.  The event is free and open to the public, and there is no need to register.
