The public is invited to a town hall-style informational meeting for Battle of Pilot Knob State Historic Site and Elephant Rocks State Park. Representatives from Missouri State Parks will be on hand to provide information about these facilities and answer questions. The public is encouraged to share comments about the facilities and their operations.
The informational meeting will be followed by Elephant Rocks State Park's conceptual development planning open house at approximately 6 p.m. As the long-range plan for the park is updated, the public is encouraged to come learn more about the planning process, ask questions, and provide input regarding future park use and development. A 30-day comment period will begin on Oct. 19, with a survey available online at mostateparks.com/CDP.
The event will conclude with a Halloween movie night starting at 7 p.m.

Input from the public is important to Missouri State Parks. These public meetings, which are being held for all state parks and historic sites, help create two-way communication with the public. The meetings give representatives the opportunity to let people know the current statuses and future plans for the parks and sites, and they offer visitors the opportunity to comment on the facilities.
