Homeschool Hour: Archaeological Inferences

1/22/2024 | Mastodon State Historic Site | Imperial, MO

Calling all homeschoolers! Mastodon State Historic Site is hosting Homeschool Hours to serve our local homeschool communities! Each month, homeschoolers of all ages can join us for fun, educational activities focused on selected park topics, listed below.

Homeschool Hours during January, February, and March will take place inside the museum auditorium, located at 1050 Charles J. Becker Drive in Imperial. The April Homeschool Hour will take place outdoors and will meet at the picnic shelter in the picnic area, located at 1800 Seckman Road in Imperial. The April Homeschool Hour will include hands-on "field work" in Rock Creek, so come prepared to get wet! Wear clothes and closed-toe shoes that can get wet and dirty.

Registration is required, and space is limited. To register, click on the appropriate link in the table belowAdults must remain with their children during the program.

Each program's lesson plan is available upon request via email one week prior to the program. Email our historic site specialist at Emily.Lange@dnr.mo.gov for more information about the curriculum.
