Welcome Winter Birds: Guided Bird Walk

12/23/2023 | Weston Bend State Park | Weston, MO

It’s official: Winter is here. But don’t let that get you down, because with winter, come winter birds. Even when it’s cold outside, birds are always sure to provide enjoyment – and the occasional surprise.

Join park staff for a leisurely stroll on Paved Trail as we look for and learn about winter birds. We will walk approximately 1 mile on Paved Trail, which has an asphalt surface and is considered moderately difficult. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Anyone who has binoculars is welcome to bring them. We will meet at the Paved Trail parking lot.

This program is free and open to the public. In the event of rain, snow or ice, it will be canceled.

For more information, call the park office at 816-640-5443.

Event Time: 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
