Secrets of the Soil

What secrets does the soil contain, and how does this information help archaeologists learn about the past? In this workshop, we'll use hands-on methods to learn about soil science and archaeology.

This program is designed for families with children in grades one through three. It is FREE, but registration is required. To register, click here or call the site office at 636-464-2976. Participants should meet outside the museum. Barring inclement weather, the program will take place outdoors.

Secrets of the Soil is part of our International Archaeology Day celebration, hosted by Mastodon State Historic Site, the Twin Rivers and Kansas City chapters of the Missouri Archaeological Society, and the St. Louis Chapter of the Archaeological Institute of America.
