Join us at Hunter-Dawson State Historic Site Oct. 21 and 22 for our Civil War encampment, and experience what the daily life of a Civil War soldier was like. Members of the Turner Brigade will portray units of the Missouri volunteers and civilians of the Civil War period.
Visitors will be able to walk through the encampment and see a variety of events and scenarios, including infantry doing drills, and will get the chance to interact with soldiers and civilians. Throughout the event, guests will gain a better understanding of life in Missouri during the Civil War.
