9/23/2023 | Cuivre River State Park | Troy, MO
Cuivre River State Park is proud to host the World Bird Sanctuary's Raptor Awareness program, featuring birds of prey such as falcons, hawks, owls and vultures. During this event, you will not only see different species of raptors, you’ll also learn a vulture's secret weapon and how to identify a bird of prey in the wild. Sit back and enjoy an up-close view as some of the birds soar right over your head!
This program will take place in the large field at Camp Sherwood, located within the park. “Special Event” signs will be set up to direct you to the program location. You must be seated during the show, so you are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.
Pets will not be allowed at the event, as they can frighten the birds, and the World Bird Sanctuary staff will not be able to let the birds fly.
As always, this program is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the park office at 636-528-7247.
