Special Artifact Collection: "Women of the Valley"

8/4/2023 to 8/31/2023 | Battle of Pilot Knob State Historic Site | Pilot Knob, MO

Battle of Pilot Knob State Historic Site is proud to present a special artifact collection in August 2023. Jordan Cunieo, one of the site's interpreters, has been researching the lives of women in the Arcadia Valley during the Civil War.

In conjunction with her research, she has put together a collection of artifacts that will be on display for the entire month of August. This collection consists of letters and artifacts related to the daily life of women in the Arcadia Valley during the Civil War. These artifacts from the museum archives are rarely on display for the public, so this is a unique opportunity to view real history in person. The museum is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. seven days a week in August.

For more information, contact the museum at 573-546-3454 and speak to Brick or Bryan.

Museum Hours: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
