Long Branch State Park Closed for Managed Deer Hunt Nov. 7-10, 2026
Long Branch State Park will be closed from 10 p.m. on Nov. 6, 2026, until sunrise on Nov. 11, 2026, due to a managed deer hunt at the park. Only registered hunters and people working the event will be allowed in the park. All camping areas within the park will be closed during these times. This includes the special-use camping area, the backcountry campsites and the boat-in campsites.

The campground at Long Branch State Park is closed for all of 2026 due to construction.

Boating - Long Branch State Park
Access Long Branch Lake via one of three paved boat launches located at different points on the lake. The Bee Trace Boat Launch, also known as Boat Launch #1, is at the northern end of the park, just south of Route AX. The Bloomington Boat Launch is located on the marina. The Macon Area Boat Launch is at the end of North Long Branch Drive, on the eastern side of the park.
There are no launch fees or horsepower restrictions for boats on the lake. There are also five boat-in/hike-in campsites in the park.
Watercraft Rentals
Rent kayaks, paddleboards, tubes and kneeboards at the marina store. These watercraft can be reserved by contacting the marina at 660-773-5132.
Motorized boats are not available to rent at the park.

Paddles and life jackets provided
Kayaks:

- $50 all day
Kneeboards and Paddleboards:
- $10 per hour
- $40 all day
Tubes:
- $5 all day
