Folk Arts at the Capitol

The Missouri State Museum and the Missouri Folk Arts Program will cohost folk art demonstrations at this event.  Artists Jeff Bottiger of Edgar Springs, Missouri, and his apprentice Matthew Fennewald of Clarksburg, Missouri, will demonstrate the art of black powder horn making and decorative engraving. Powder horns are made from the horns of bison, cows or elk and used to carry gunpowder for muzzleloader firearms. The program will be held in the Missouri State Museum's History Hall, located in the east wing of the Missouri state Capitol. For more information, contact the Missouri State Museum at 573-751-2854.
