Missouri State Parks Bus Grant Program

The Bus Grant Program assists schools and nonprofit organizations with the transportation expenses of field trips and outdoor learning opportunities to state parks, state historic sites and other facilities managed by Missouri State Parks (including the Missouri Capitol and State Museum). Bus grants have been made available to Missouri schools and youth-focused nonprofit organizations throughout the state.

2026-2027 Grant Round:

The Bus Grant Program grant round is currently open and is accepting applications for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a noncompetitive grant that is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to qualified applicants. Applications must be submitted by email or mail by May 14, 2027, for field trips planned for the 2026-2027 school year (July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027).

Golden City School District

Golden City High School received a bus grant for a trip to the Missouri Capitol in Jefferson City. Students visited both the Capitol and the Missouri Supreme Court, located across the street. At both locations, students got a firsthand look at Missouri’s state government.

Dallas County R-I School District
