Toddler Thursday: Animals in Winter

Come learn, create and play and Mastodon State Historic Site!

Our Toddler Thursday programs are designed for toddlers and their grown-ups. Each session focuses on a different topic and includes story time and a craft. From August to December 2026, these programs are being offered on the third or fourth of Thursday of the month. Each program begins at 10 a.m. and lasts up to an hour.

In the event of inclement weather, programs may be moved to the museum auditorium. Otherwise, they will take place right outside the museum. Participants should bring a water bottle and a lawn chair or blanket for outdoor seating.

Toddler Thursdays are free and open to the public. There is no need to register.

August-December Program Topics:

  • Aug. 20: worms
  • Sept. 24: wildflowers
  • Oct. 22: Mother Earth
  • Nov. 19: Indigenous Americans
  • Dec. 17: animals in winter
