Candlelight Christmas Concerts

Join First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site staff for one of two candlelight Christmas concerts on Sunday, Dec. 7. A performance by Rick Thum and Friends in the warm glow of the candlelit legislative chambers will evoke memories of a historic past and bring to life some well-known Christmas songs and the stories behind them. These merry melodies will surely get you in the holiday spirit.

The first concert will begin at 4:30 p.m., and the second one will start at 7 p.m. Both shows will take place upstairs in the Capitol. Attendees are encouraged to dress warmly, as the building does not have central heating.

You must purchase tickets in order to attend. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 10 a.m., with a price of $14 per ticket. Tickets will be sold in person at the historic site's interpretive center and by phone. Cash, cards and checks will be accepted for purchases made in person; only cards will be accepted for purchases made by phone.

There will be a limit of 100 tickets overall (50 per concert) and four per family. This event usually sells out fast, so don't delay in getting your tickets to experience this holiday tradition!
