Weddings - Hunter-Dawson
Hunter-Dawson has a beautiful location for those seeking an outdoor wedding.
Additional Information:
- A nonrefundable fee of $150 will be collected when the permit is issued.
- Weddings may be held on the porch of the historic home or the historic grounds. No indoor weddings will be held. The house interior is not available for photographic purposes.
- The site is available for weddings only; no receptions may be held. No food, drink or smoking allowed within the fenced area of the house.
- Weddings may be held during the hours of 4-7 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday, April through October. All vehicles, chairs and decorations must be removed from the site by 7 p.m. Permit holders will be expected to adhere to the times indicated on their permit.
- A maximum of 75 participants (guests, photographers and wedding party) is permitted.
- Candles may NOT be used during the wedding. Decorations or other items are NOT to be attached to any part of the house. No large event tents that require large tent stakes may be used.
- The site has only one restroom in the historic site office. Park offices, restrooms and other buildings may not used for wedding preparations such as dressing, picture-taking, rehearsals or waiting areas.
- No electricity will be available on-site. Generators may NOT be used.
- Chairs must be provided by the wedding party and must be set up and removed the day of the wedding.
- Special conveyances, including but not limited to horse-drawn carriages, ATV or UTVs, are prohibited.
- Parking for the wedding will be allowed in the parking lot next to the house only.
- Permit holders will be expected to adhere to the times indicated on their permit.
