First Day Hike

at Robertsville State Park

1/1/2026 | Robertsville State Park | Robertsville, MO.

Please join a member of Robertsville State Park's staff for a First Day Hike on Jan. 1, 2026. First Day Hikes are promoted by America's State Parks and are held at parks across the country at the start of each year.

This moderately difficult guided hike will cover all 2.6 miles of Lost Hill Trail, a natural-surface loop. The trail has some steep grades and inclines over 10%, as well as some water crossings without bridges. During the hike, your guide will discuss the park's burn unit and the importance of prescribed fire, along with the old oxbow slough of Calvey Creek.

This event is free, open to the public, and suitable for all ages. Pets are welcome but must be leashed. Participants are encouraged to bring water and snacks.

Registration is required and can be completed by using the link provided here.

More information can be obtained by calling the park office at 636-257-3788. If the hike is canceled, an announcement will be emailed to registrants and posted on the park's Facebook page and the Park and Site Status Map.
