1/1/2026 | Montauk State Park | Salem, Mo.

Celebrate the new year with a First Day Hike at Montauk State Park. Meet at the naturalist's office for a hike on Pine Ridge Trail. This moderately strenuous hike of about 2 miles traverses some incredible scenery through the park's natural area and beyond. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather. Dogs are allowed but must kept on a leash.

This event is free and open to the public; however, registration is required and there is a limit of 20 participants. A registration link will be provided here once it is available. If the hike is canceled, an announcement will be emailed to registrants and posted on the park's Facebook page and the Park and Site Status Map.
