Picture Perfect: A Woman's Decade in Post-Apartheid South Africa
Jan. 7 - Feb. 28, 2009
This series of documentary photographs and paintings on handmade paper represent an intimate view of one woman's experiences with women artists and their families from the Ndzundza Ndebele nation of South Africa. These images depict and reflect the integration of global mainstream 21st century pace and patterns of life with an ancient artistic culture.

Preservation of Site Memories
March 4 - May 9, 2009
This exhibit features individual works, collaborations and theoretical exercises based on memory, time spent together and space occupation. This exhibit includes architectural drawings and paintings.

Rally Round the Flag: Civil War Battle Flags from the Museum Collection
June 3 - Nov. 28, 2009
This exhibit features Civil War flags in the museum's collection that have been conserved and framed since the previous exhibit in 2006. Many of these flags have not been on display in decades. The flags on exhibit represent more than 125 Civil War battle flags, both Union and Confederate, that the museum is trying to preserve.
