Important Camping Information:

  • Reservable sites may be available on a walk-up registration basis if the site is not reserved. Before occupying a site, check with the park staff or follow the directions on the posted card or signs.
  • Equestrian Campground sites can be reserved by equestrian and non-equestrian campers.
  • During the off-season (November through March), potable water is available at the frost-free water spigot located at the visitor/nature center. Modern restrooms and showerhouses are closed during the off-season.
  • Campers planning to carry in firewood must comply with current firewood advisories.
  • Parking of watercraft or all-terrain vehicle (ATV) trailers off of the campsite pad (usually in the grass) is permitted at this facility.
  • Camping is limited to any 15 days within a 30-consecutive-day period at any one park or historic site.
  • We recommend no more than two dogs per campsite. Pets must be supervised and kept on leashes no longer than 10 feet at all times. Portable fences, shock collars and other electronic devices do not meet these requirements. Pet waste bags are available in most locations. Other than service animals, pets are not allowed inside any building that is not part of the Cabins for Canines program, or in public swimming areas or waters reserved for fishing.
