Burn Ban in Effect at Shannon County Parks Until Further Notice

A Stage 2 burn ban is in effect for Current River and Echo Bluff state parks, as well as the trails of Roger Pryor Pioneer Backcountry. This restriction prohibits all outdoor fires, including campfires, and other open-flame conditions. It includes solo stoves and propane fire pits. The ban will remain in place until further notice. 

Gas lanterns, contained charcoal fires with cover, and liquid- and gas-fueled stoves remain authorized.

Picnic Shelters/Event Areas

  • The Bluff Top Pavilion can accommodate 150 people and is the perfect venue for weddings and reunions.
  • An amphitheater near the lodge features tiered seating, making it a great option for small and medium special events and programs.  
  • Two medium and two small picnic shelters make convenient places to have family and group gatherings.

Shelter Reservations

The pavilion, amphitheater and picnic shelters can be reserved in advance by calling 844-322-ECHO (3246).

Playground

The picnic area also features a large playground.
