Special-Use Camping Temporarily Unavailable Starting Dec. 4, 2025 - St. Francois State Park

Due to a managed deer hunt at the park, special-use camping will be unavailable at St. Francois State Park from Dec. 4, 2025, through Dec. 8, 2025. Reservations for any dates within this window will not be accepted.

at St. Francois State Park

The special-use camping area is designated for group camping, with nonprofit organizations and youth groups having priority. The area consists of five individual campsites, each equipped with a picnic table, fire pit and lamp post. In addition, the area's amenities include a drinking water spigot (water available April 1-Oct. 31), a covered group meeting area with picnic tables, and a large group campfire pit. There is a capacity limit of 40 people.

The fee for use of the area is $2 per person, per night. For more information or to reserve the area for your group, call 573-358-2173.
