On the following days (actual or observed), staff will not be available and site buildings will be closed: Thanksgiving Day; Nov. 28, 2025; Christmas Eve; Christmas Day; New Year’s Eve; New Year’s Day; Martin Luther King Jr. Day; Lincoln’s Birthday; and Washington's Birthday.

On-Season

April through Sept. 15

  • Due to construction, lodge tours are unavailable until further notice.
  • 10 and 11 a.m., and 1, 2 and 3 p.m. Thursday through Saturday (last tour begins at 3 p.m.)
  • 11 a.m., and 1, 2 and 3 p.m. Sunday (last tour begins at 3 p.m.)
  • No tours will be offered Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.

Off-Season

Sept. 16 through Dec. 14
  • Due to construction, lodge tours are unavailable until further notice.
  • 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays
  • 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. on Sundays
Dec. 15 through February
  • Due to construction, lodge tours are unavailable until further notice.
  • Tours are available by appointment only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Visitors should call the site at 660-827-0510 to schedule a tour.
March
  • Due to construction, lodge tours are unavailable until further notice.
  • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday through Saturday and holiday Mondays
  • 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday (last tour begins at 3 p.m.)
