Stockton Spooktacular Soiree

at Stockton State Park

Grab your Halloween decorations and costumes and come out to Stockton State Park for our Spookatcular Soiree.

Activities will take place in the campgrounds. Aside from the campground decorating contest, all activities are open to campers and day-use visitors alike. 

Stockton State Park is located at 19100 S. Highway 215, near Dadeville. For more information, see the schedule below or call the park office at 417-276-4259.

Goblin Games and Activities4-6 p.m.Families can participate in a variety of games such as cornhole, washers, sack races and tug-of-war. We will also host a doughnut-eating contest and provide crafts for families to do. All of these activities will take place near the showerhouse in the East Campground.No
Costume contest6 p.m.Prizes will be awarded for the three best costumes in each of the following categories: baby/toddler (0-3 years), kid (4-12), and teens and adults (13 and up). The contest and the awarding of prizes will take place near the East Campground showerhouse.No
Trick-or-treating7 p.m.Campers and day-use visitors are invited to trick or treat through the campgrounds. Campers who wish to provide candy for trick-or-treaters should pick up a light at the check station prior to the event. Trick-or-treaters should bring something to collect candy.No
Campsite decorating contestJudging starts at 7 p.m.

Registered campers are encouraged to decorate their campsites for Halloween. A group of judges will score decorated campsites based on theme, originality, lights and attention to detail. Prizes will be awarded for top three sites. Winners will notified and given their prizes at their campsites around 8 p.m.

ALL PARK RULES STILL APPLY! Any violation of park rules, such as nailing items to trees or buildings or damaging resources in any way, will result in immediate elimination from the contest. Participants must register online before the event to be eligible for a prize.

Jack-o'-Lantern JamboreeJudging starts at 6 p.m.Bring your own carved or decorated pumpkin to the judging table near the check station by 6 p.m. There will not be separate categories for this competition, and there is a limit of one entry per person. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place. The announcement of winners will take place near the East Campground showerhouse at 6:30 p.m.No
