Music and Meditation in Onondaga Cave
7/18/2026 | Onondaga Cave State Park | Leasburg, Mo.
Onondaga Cave State Park will host Music and Meditation in Onondaga Cave on Saturday, July 18. This event is sponsored by the Onondaga Friends Association and features musicians Maureen and Richard Hall.
You do not have to be an experienced meditator to attend this retreat. Maureen and Richard will offer a short teaching session at the beginning. They will sing and play music to foster relaxation and deeper awareness, weaving sessions of mindfulness meditation within the music.
You will have an opportunity to use the restroom, get some water and enjoy light snacks in the visitor center prior to the retreat. No food or drink is allowed in the cave.
We will start going into the cave at 5:15. The retreat will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will last about two hours. Participants should meet at the visitor center by 5 p.m.
The cave is a moist 57 degrees Fahrenheit. We recommend that you bring a camp chair and plenty of layers (including gloves, a hat and a blanket) and wear shoes that are sturdy and comfortable and have good traction.
Online registration is required. Tickets are free, but there is a suggested donation of $30 per person. All proceeds go to the park. To get more information and register, please visit the official listing on the Onondaga Friends Association website.
