Join us deep inside Onondaga Cave for a unique acoustic experience featuring world-renowned fingerstyle guitar virtuoso Richard Gilewitz!

This is a great opportunity to not only enjoy some good music but also to beat the heat. With a constant temperature of 57 degrees Fahrenheit, Onondaga Cave stays cool even in the summer.

About the Performer:

Known for his mesmerizing “fingerstyle wizardry” and lively sense of humor, Richard Gilewitz transforms every performance into a rich storytelling journey. He plays everything from Bach to Zeppelin and seamlessly blends elements of folk, jazz, rock and Delta blues.

Event Schedule:

To protect the cave environment and ensure an uninterrupted performance, the event will strictly adhere to this schedule:

  • 5:30 p.m. – doors open
  • 6 p.m. – hors d'oeuvres available
  • 6:20 p.m. – seating begins
  • 6:55 p.m. – cave doors locked (no late entry permitted)
  • 7 p.m. – performance begins
  • 7:45 p.m. – intermission with hors d'oeuvres
  • 8:30 p.m. – intermission ends
  • 8:45 p.m. – second set begins
  • 10 p.m. – event ends
