Frightfully Fun Fest

Join us at Onondaga State Park for our annual Halloween event: the Frightfully Fun Fest! This year’s event will take place on Friday, Oct. 23, and Saturday, Oct. 24.
At 6:30 p.m. on Friday, we will show the family-friendly spooky movie "Scoob." Weather permitting, the showing will take place at the campground amphitheater. In the event of inclement weather, it will take place inside the visitor center. Complimentary hot chocolate and popcorn will be provided. If the showing occurs outside, guests should dress for the weather and bring blankets if necessary.
On Saturday, we will have a variety of activities in the campground from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. These will include coloring, costume and campsite decorating contests; a pumpkin and monster hunt; naturalist stations; and trick-or-treating. The campground road will close to traffic at 4:45 p.m. Saturday to allow for extra safety during trick-or-treating.
Regular camping fees apply, but the event itself is free. Campers are encouraged to decorate their sites and provide candy for trick-or-treaters.
