Christmas Candlelight and Cookie Stroll

at Roaring River State Park

Roaring River's third annual Christmas Candlelight and Cookie Stroll will take place on Saturday, Dec. 19. 

During this event, hundreds of luminaries will light the banks of the river, evoking a sense of peace and wonder. Holiday-themed activities -- and cookies -- will be available at various locations throughout the park.

Event Schedule

  • 4:30 p.m. -- Tree lighting ceremony inside the Emory Melton Inn
  • 5-8 p.m. -- Tree auction inside the Emory Melton Inn
  • 5-8 p.m. -- Meet and greet with Santa inside the CCC Lodge
  • 5-8 p.m. -- Stories with Mrs. Claus at the amphitheater
  • 5-8 p.m. -- Historical Christmas program inside the one-room schoolhouse
  • 5:30-8 p.m. -- Christmas specials at the park store

All activities are subject to cancellation or change due to inclement weather.

Admission and Things to Bring

Admission is free and open to the public. Please dress for the weather and bring a flashlight or lantern.
