Come celebrate Missouri Archaeology Month at Scott Joplin House State Historic Site. During this free, family-friendly event, you will get to see how archaeologists use various pieces of material evidence to reconstruct the past. Staff will demonstrate methods for classifying objects and gathering data from objects and records. You will also get to see our traveling trunk, which contains household items from 19th century and their modern-day counterparts.

The event will take place in the historic site's backyard. These activities are free and open to the public.

Site tours will be available on the hour.
