Portion of the Park Closed for Managed Deer Hunt Nov. 6-8 - Pomme de Terre State Park

A portion of Pomme de Terre State Park will be closed from sunset on Nov. 5, 2026, until sunrise on Nov. 9, 2026, due to a managed deer hunt at the park. The closure will encompass most of the park's Hermitage Area.

These facilities will be off-limits to the public:

  • Cedar Bluff Trail
  • The Hermitage Area Campground
  • The boat ramp, store and playground within the Hermitage Area Campground

These areas and facilities will remain open:

  • The entire Pittsburg side of the park
  • The lake house
  • The day-use boat ramp on the Hermitage side
